New graphics card help

Well, I have a decent system with a crappy graphics card and I wanted suggestions of ones around £100-130 but I alos needed help with whether my system will run on it.

Specs:
4.00 GB Ram
AMD Phenom Quad core 2.20 GHz
Samsung 500GB HDD
Nvidia Geforce 8400 GS, 256 mb (I think)
PSU=300W

^ The last one is my main problem. I need to know whether I can run a decent graphics card from the nvidia 9 series along with my other hardware on a 300w PSU. I've seen mixed opinions about this on the web, maybe leaning more towards the yes you can side. So, I'd like a card recommended and advice on whether it will play to a 300W psu.

You will need a new PSU. A true 300W PSU may just about do it, but the one you have won't be sustainable probably.

As for graphics card, if you ccan be swayed to ATi, the 4850 easily outpaces any nVidia card for a similar price. http://www.ebuyer.com/product/146705

Hmm, it's just that this will start to add up. I also don't have a clue how to fit a PSU, and I'm only just getting the jist of fitting a graphics card. Of course, there is the option of dishing out again for a professional to do it but..

Are you 100% sure that the psu will have to be changed?

Thanks.Disconnect the mains, open up the case or slide off the cover, unscrew the PSU, remove the cabling and then fit the new one :P

I'm 95% sure you will need a new PSU. Should be around £30 for an adequate one. Replacing it will involve unplugging all of the connectors from the old one, unscrewing it and then removing it. Then screw the new one in in the same place and connect a power connector to everything you pulled one out of. Your new graphics card will need it's own power connector as well.
