The chat is never used, I think it would be better if it was replaced with the ajax chat add-on for vBulletin. The current chat isn't used because-
Its at the bottom of the page
Some people don't have it enabled and have to click a link to open it
Some people may not have flash player installed
Sometimes it doesn't connect when its loading
So basically the chat should be replaced with an ajax one. Anyone who says "it takes up space" is an idiot because there is no space limit on a web page.

Agreed. It even has the habbit of kicking you out claiming another user has just logged in with the same details (aka if you refresh the page to say... check posts)

I'm afraid I have to agree.
But I still want a chat of some form.

Well considering management paid about $300 for I don't think we'll be seeing the back of it anytime soon. The Community Support department are currently working on new ways of promoting the chat, maybe including competitions so keep an eye out for that. :)

If its a 1 year licence for the chat then its only about 7 months until they have to pay again.

It's there, it's not going anywhere can't take back time, just use it & enjoy it. Why would they add another chat when this one hasn't worked :S they'll just pursue the current one and keep trying, I hope.

Then you edit options... doesn't take a genius.

Some of the problems arn't 'options related' for example a failed load - often not cured by a refresh. Even with the problem i encounter of refreshing and suddenly being told that someone else is logging in with my information (of course its simply me, but it moans and kicks me off the chat... i can't be bothered to logout and login again to see it empty)

It has never failed to load for me. Also, the refresh thing can be changed via options.
http://www.habboxforum.com/showthread.php?t=531241 this thread here has enough reasons why we dont use an ajax chat.

So you're suggesting they replace the chat with a chat? Very clever...
The current chat system works fine, it just needs more attention. Having it on the index page is pointless, because members would literally flood the system and not many people want it. It was a bit of a pointless buy, but they can't go back on it now :P

The current Chat system works well, it's just not advertised well enough. As mentioned it's at the bottom of the page whereas most of the top viewed forums are towards the top and middle.
Theres no point replacing it with another form of chap.

As said really I can't see us replacing the current chat. There are no serious problems with it that a new system would correct and I can't personally see any problems with it when I've used it before. :)
