as i said before, ruth will not appeal to everyone, neither will laura but more people will prefer lauras type of singing than ruths.

i also said this before, they shouldnt judge on thelast song, they should judge on all performances, star quality, vocal range, in other words the x factor

Ruth deserved to stay imo. Laura just didnt appeal to me. When Ruth gets to pick her own songs she has like a rocky kinda style which is suits her so well. She is so good :D Laura will no doubt get a contract when her X Factor one runs out.
