If you do not have a huge music library/do not need your entire library on the iPod, go for the iPod Touch, if you really need to and you have the money, get the 32GB one. However, if you have like 50GB of music and you want it all on your iPod, get the Classic. The Touch's screen is better though, and you get to use apps which are fun.

If you want the Touch upgrade, you need to pay $9.99 dollars i think it is for it.

The classics are quite nice, but if you reccon you wont use that much space, you would be better getting the ...

They come in various colours, and are a little bit cheaper than the classic, but alot thiner.

Curved ahead of the curve.

iPod nano now comes in nine vibrant colours and a new curved aluminum and glass design. The crisp, bright picture makes watching videos amazing

You don't have to pay for the software upgrade. Only older iPod Touches which have been bought before the upgrade was released will have to pay the $9.99. And, you could get many free apps. Surely just entering your credit card would be no problem, apple is quite a trusted company. If you don't want to, then maybe go for the Nano as Kevin said. That depends on the size of your music library though.

I love my classic, so much space.
I can have as many podcasts and I want and not care really.
I have over 20+ movies on it and over 20GB of music.

ive got a 8g touch. its not even half my library, but it really isnt that bad. i usually have something i know i could live without to make room for other stuff. and the battery lasts really long, apparently not so for the 32g one though. the new nanos look pretty sweet though.

You don't need to pay $9.99, Apple have made it very easy to import firmware from iTunes for free. If only you have they right places to look then you have 2.1 :)

Why on earth would you torrent something which is already free on new iPods? Sorry but there are a few people who don't know what they are talking about in this thread.

1. The latest firmware comes with the iPod Touch, in this case 2.1, and you do not need to pay to access the App Store.
2. If you ever buy Coke bottles, then you should use cokezone.co.uk to try and win an iTunes song, that way you can create an iTunes account and bypass the credit card entry section.
3. You don't have to use a credit card, you can use a debit card. (Most teeenagers have Solo card and these work fine with the store)
4. The iPod Touch is a great little device, but I do recommend getting the 32GB.

I would recommend getting the iPod Touch, just because the screen is big and nice for video viewing. The classic is ok, but the screen is just a bit too small for me.

Good luck with your selection, if you get an iPod Touch, get it from Amazon.co.uk. They're £10 cheaper than they are at Apple.

Ipod touch, apparently the 2.2 firmware for it is going to let you sync music through the air. So you will never have to plug it in :)

That'd be slow though :P

If it did then, AWESOME, I can leave the cable plugged into my Wii (to charge it over night :P)

LOL! Since when... it has podcast updating over-the-air but definitely not music syncing over the air.

Not at a network speed of a bout 8Mbps (what the iPod Touch is capable of receiving..)

Should be within two weeks, but rumours point to the 21st of November. Don't hold your breath for the 21st though :/
