What features do you think a successful social network should have?

Yay! Nothing like another social networking thread, its a good job their aren't too many social networks anyway!

Seriously though... do your own research. I know its hard to find social networks but when you find one go through it and see what they have, and see if "you" can do it better.

All good ideas are kept private, which means unless you can come up with your own then you won't get any good ones ;)

All good social networks should have good UI experts, otherwise you end up with places such as Nivade where they have things completely random and out of sync with what you'd expect from a social network.

Yeah, but he said what makes a "successful social network", an owner that can spell, and use "you" appropriately would be a first.
