Hiya - looking for present advice again ;) hehe

Okay basically me and my girlfriend agreed to spend about £200 on each other for Christmas. I've thought of loads of stuff I am getting her and thats taken up about half the money and I've decided to get her main present with the other £100.

Basically, I have decided I am getting her jewellery and my predicament is:-

Should I buy her one ring at £100 or
Should I buy a locket at £60 & a ring at £40?

Basically, I am asking what you would prefer to be honest. Would you rather receive the 2 items which equals the same price anyway and are both nice - or would you rather just have the 1 ring which is maybe a bit more special and significant then?

The links are below.

Please post and vote in the poll and I will +rep all :) [I am also not sure which ring I would get if I just bought 1, but that decisiosn for another day! lol

The one ring:- http://s7ondemand4.scene7.com/is/image/Signet/6375162?$thumbnail$ (or this 1) http://s7ondemand4.scene7.com/is/image/Signet/6394205?$thumbnail$

Pendant & Ring:- http://s7ondemand4.scene7.com/is/image/Signet/6547664?$thumbnail$ and http://s7ondemand4.scene7.com/is/image/Signet/4917545?$thumbnail$

My cousin who is a jeweller believes that the one ring would be better lol, because although Hot Diamonds are real diamonds, the AquaMarine is a better diamond and it is also white gold... So I guess it's better quality!

(Also if you have any alternatives you would liek me to consider please, please feel free to post! THANKS!)

Hey Allan mate lolol. ;) Erm, the first £100 ring is OK although I said on MSN Maria would probably prefer 2 presents, but that first ring does look nice.

LMAO yeh I am not even sure of the rings myself tbh, but those are just the ones I have seen atm.

The actual ring itself doesn't really matter at this point tbh, just the principal of 1 more expensive ring or the ring and locket?

Tbh, if I was your girlfriend I wouldn't mind any of em :P But if I were you I'd go for the ring, I think its verrry nice :) Good luck and I hope she loves whichever you decide to go for :)

I love that first ring.

But I think the lockets nice aswell. If you wan't to give her somthing with special sentimental value go for the ring but if you want her to wear the stuff all the time go with the locket and ring.

I think just a ring would be better, don't like either of the rings up there though, aha.

LOL yeh Elizabeth Duke ;p Nah - H Samuels :)

Well for those who don't like the rings please offer alternatives? lol Would really appreciate that.

Yeh I guess it is the type of thing she'd wear everyday - but I mean she could wear the ring every day too if it was just that I got lol

The second ring is really really nice,
me and my friend darcy prefer that.
Necklace doesn't look any where near its price dont rly like that much.
If you can find a nicer necklace, get that and the ring :]
if not, get the 2nd ring (H)

Realising you aren't gay has broken my heart :'( I like both rings to be fair, but the blue one looks nicer than the pink in my opinion (for the simple reason I prefer the colour blue over pink). Both are pretty awesome I would definitly get one of the rings for her. Just don't know which one! Regardless of which one however I'm sure the meaning behind it and the love and thought that went into it will make the ring more special to her than the materials its made from. </soppy>

I quite like the pendant, our tastes in jewellery change all the time lol. If you are planning to spend £100, then buy something unique, maybe a nice chain even possibly with matching earrings (does she have pierced ears?). If you like the idea of a chain, I will look around for you ;)

If i were you i'd buy the pendant, and spend the rest of the money on something else, cause i like the pendant and whole sentimental value thing the most, but wouldn't want a jewelery overload. I'd buy the pendant and then buy some cheeap concert tickets or something!

LOL Sammeth, you know that you alone could turn me ;) lmao

Aw the poll totally doesn't reflect whats being posted! haha

Well tbh to you all, atm I am still very open to suggestions! I just want it to be something special I guess. We have been together for liek 4 years and have bought her jewellery and stuff but I want it to be something quite significant this year.

The poll has concluded picking a ring (so far lol) but the posts seem to say the opposite!

Like I say, I am still open to suggestions (different rings or pendants etc) so please feel free to post. And just to clarify, yeh she has her ears pierced but I think shed rather just a wee cheap pair of earrings she can wear all the time rather than a big set shed maybe keep special.

Thanks so much so far! <3

I would say the one ring, and if I picked between those two I would say the pink one. Careful not to make it look like you're proposing, then you get into the difficult situation of saying you didn't mean that :P

How long you been going out for by the way?

Tbh I prefer the second ring the cheaper one, more stylish :P But I think the ring has a significant value so get the first one. I prefer the second of the expensive rings.
