well a person logs on 2 accounts and then they find a victim. Then they add you and on one account they say buyin say for example a dj deck 10 hcs. Then they go on the other account saying sellin dj deck 7 hcs.Because of this they think yeah ill get 3 hcs prof and then you buy it for 7 hcs.
When you got it you trade the person whos buyin for 10 hcs and they dont do nefin. So uve just bought a dj deck for 7 hcs when its worth 3.5 lol.Sad scam but it only works once,It worked on me lol :(

Happened to a friend I know in Runescape.
Some girl said "Buying grog (an ale/beer worth like 5gp) for a santa hat (worth like millions of gp) And then another girl came up and said "Selling grog, offer?"
My friend wanted the santa hat so she traded her rune zamarok (worth 750,000gp+) for the grog and both of them logged off.
(Put down the prices if you don't know them)

Been going around for ages lol

not really a scam on a game called endless online i used to play it had no values so me and my friends used to do something similar. We would stand in the city center id say selling e.g. Ablo Staff for 10K (they were really easy to make by collecting items but hard to get rid of as everyone had them they went for around 9/10k) then my friend would say buying for 13K. You got rid of them made some profit. Greed is man's downfall.

Yeah it's a common trick for the majority of online games, probably taken from real life marketing scams and bidding houses.
You don't even need to add someone or even use a clone. Just have a friend shout "Buying [item] for 10 HC" for you a few times in a trading room, wait a few seconds and then come in the room and shout "Selling [item] for 7 HC". Just make sure it's not a common item, HCs etc won't work btw because a) your friend will be spammed with offers and b) the 'mark' will just buy the item off someone else who is selling, in hope to get even more profit.
This always works on the same annoying morons who you always see shouting across a trading room something like "UHH LOL***?1! U WONT SELL DAT FOR DAT PRICE!! HABBOX SAIS ITS 5HC U *** LMAO!1!" at anyone who wants to make profit, so funnily enough it's their ignorance that makes them the easiest to fall for it.
Yeh I heard of this befor :p
Oh this has been going around for a while. I remember when it happened to me, I tried to convince Guy A to add Guy B to make the trade. I was like "he's buying it for 10hcs, you're asking for 7hcs. Go add him." But after a while, I figured out what was happening and cursed at both of them haha :)
