He said might result in some problems through time so it could be they undone something that had been done before to speed up the site :P

So far so good, I was worrying that we may have some HUGE performance issues with there being 5 million posts and it turned out that it was just my Internet Dongle that was being a pesk as it frequently is.

Just tested it with the office broadband and it works like a dream so far.

Totally worth me being awake till 5am sorting out the server for this.

When editing your post (within the 15 minute limit) there used to be about a 2 minute lag, waiting for the post to hurry up and edit. Within the past few days, Jin has flicked a few switches and pushed a few buttons, and the editing post "lag" has now been fixed.
Try it out for yourself, it's instant. :)
