Lets say I buy the MAC OS X install CD's, could I go home and insert them on my windows computer then run MAC OS X on my computer?

No, go insanelymac.com and it will tell you how to Mac OS X running on a PC bear in mind its illegal.

I've been through it all, luckily my hardware is a lot like Mac Pro hardware (chipset, mobo etc..), but if it isn't then it can be a waste of time IMO tried it on my AMD laptop and it was crap)

If you have intel core2 processor you will find it far easier. ***** my crap isn't very mac pro, cheapy packard bell stuff but works fine. It just depends on the right amount of fiddling.
And DVD's :P

Aslong as it's an intel cpu you should be able to run osx86 fairly well
