Well vista doesn't have an "uninstall" button so you'd either have a blank HDD or another operating system if you installed it.

edit:

So if i turned on my pc, and what would happen.

You'd have a little blinking cursor, which would then say no active/boot partition and prompt you to restart with some CD or DVD in.

You dont need to uninstall it, just put your xp disk in and click install over the partition.

EDIT: If you don't have an XP disk you can download one from thepiratebay.com (its legal if you use a valid key on it ;))

Doesn't it have an error and say you can't install an old version of windows over vista? then you need to do a complete wipe, or is that what you're talking about? o.0

I'm sure you can format the HDD from within setup no problems.

XP set up, the blue screen when you run from the installation CD/DVD.

it lists your partitions so you just delete the vista one and create a new NTFS partition for XP.

Ah, i thought he meant on XP once its loaded insert the disk then press install (as you can do with vista) not reformat/clean install ;)

Yeah, I think it lets you format the disk before you install xp. So you should lose Vista.

For some reason its not buring onto a disk :s
Hmm, so you downloaded XP in less than 20 minutes?

He might've had the thing longer, but only just tried it :)

Plus XP is only like 500-700 meg. Some people's connections are actually decent :P
