You talking about Shimon? It's not explained, so I guess it's up to the viewer. He probably felt he didn't need to pilot Gurren Lagann or participate anymore. What I wanna know is what happened to his eye and where he got that massive core drill. I assume he said he'd leave it to Rossiu because he trusts him and because he is a capable leader?

Ending was epic, but sad. Nia dissapeared.


Simon left because he won the battle, and peace was restored for humans.
Rossiu redeemed himself (but I hate him still.) and he went on his own path.
