Hello eveeryone,

I am desperate. I have searched this forum multiple times and have seen posts that say to do a complete uninstall of SAM and the add/remove programs to look for. I have done all of that and have even gone as far as doing a search in the program files of my computer, until nothing comes up.

Still, after all this, I have been unsuccessful in reinstalling SAM4. It says it has fatal errors and there are like three of them that come up, the one I remember says something about not being able to write to SAM Reporter, or something to that affect.

Is there something I am missing. I see people have said they have done successful re-installs before and things were fine until I had to go back to the factory settings on my computer.

Any help would be much appreciated. There has to be sometihng I am missing. I do have Norton 360, which has a backup feature, but it dies d a search of those files as well.

Thank you in advance

Depending on which database you use for SAM have you searched your whole PC for MySQL and Firebird and made sure that they are uninstalled?

Yup, I did a MYSQL search and forebird and deleted all of them. I used forebird, so those are the files that came up and they were all deleted.

Maybe it's the place you are downloading from?
Have you tried different downloads?

There's one here: http://rapidshare.com/files/134635705/sam2.exe.html
That definetly works as I uploaded it so might as well try :)

When i tried to uninstall Sam Broadcaster at first there was 'hidden' files on my laptop which then messed around with me installing Sam Broadcaster again.

The best thing is to double check there is no secret files which are to do with the database you used or the software its self.

To do so go to my documents or my computer > hold CTRL and F > Then type something related to your search 'Sam Broadcaster' 'MYSQL' etc. Usually theres a box you could tick 'search hidden files' so hopefully this will solve your problem !

Goodluck and if the problem posists feel free to PM me and i'll go into more detail within helping you (: x

Hope i helped.

(remember to make sure all things related to Sam Broadcaster/MYQL pehaps firebird is uninstalled

Thsanks so much for the help. I did look for the hidden files. I finally decided to try loading a different version and that worked. I am in the market for a new comp and this will be my secondary, so I will download a later vwersion on the new comp.

Again, thanks for the replies. I am still stumped after trying everything.
