basically, my mums downloaded it and it's messed the whole computer up.
does anyone know how to manually get rid of it, cos its controlling most of the internet sites she goes on so i can't download anymore anti virus software.

i ended the antivirus process and deleted it from program files and the start menu which has stopped it popping up every 2 minutes saying you have virus's, but theres still a yellow toolbar whenever you go on the internet telling you to register it or something.

can anyone help ?
thanks

KK i had this.

Basically its a really nasty virus, if your PC goes all funny, DONT restart your computer - you wont get it back on, we did exatly that and had to fork out £70 to get it repaired.

I dont know how to get rid of it, (id recomned a repairs shop) but i hope that helped!

AHHH! i hate this. ok, best bet is to download a FREE IS,
Called Comodo Internet Securtity.

, DO this via downloading from ur pc and puting onto a EXT HDD, Warning, keep the HDD blank, or a memstick, as if you have details on that, the Virus can grab it.

so a formatted Ext HDD with CIS on, install in safe mode on ur moms computer

then reboot.

when it loads, let it do its stuff, and go into tabs until you find a PROCESS killer, once its open, find AntiVirus2009 and KILL, kill all unknown processes, check the net for ones you arnt sure about.

After that's killed them all off, run a FULL SCAN!

leave it for a few hours until its completely finished, after tht, remove all threats, if it fails on any, boot back up into SAFE MODE.

and run a full scan in safe mode, this WILL remove EVERYTHING.

if all that fails, well, i guess thers like 1000000 diff answers..

One would be trying all difernt types of AV's to remove or using guides from google, but, download SaS coz thats Uber.
