Just got a bit more information on it
The Pivo 2 is the second generation of the Pivo concept that originally debuted in 2005 and it features an electric powertrain powered by lithium ion batteries.
Interesting features of the car are that it features a rotating cabin, therefore reverse is not needed making the car more maneuverable. The wheels can also pivot 90 degrees and the car showcases new "by wire" technologies for the braking and steering.
A new "Robot Agent" is also included that has the ability to converse with the driver and additional occupants in either Japanese or English. This means that you can actually have company if you are driving alone on a long trip.

That looks stupid. How could you get other people in that? What if you go shopping and get loads of bags? How pathetic.
If its raining, your going to get soaked waiting for the door to open and close.

Not really, I dont mind change, but thats just the stupidest thing ive seen. Only people to be driving them would be tree huggers and old people who dont need room for anything inside and dont know how to reverse.

Is this in Japan? I doubt that'll survive a Godzilla attack, and it certainly won't survive the earthquakes. And if Japan has busy inner city areas, the battery will run flat in the traffic :S

this is ridiculous, i'd never have one of those.. it's stupid and pointless, what's wrong with reversing anyway?

It just goes to show how they have nothing better to do. I can't even think of any plus's to it.

Maybe it's good if you can't reverse to save your life. But thats not true for most people. It's doomed to failure

I'd buy one as a toy to play with, wouldn't use it for day to day use though.
