The X Factor finalists are reportedly 'furious' that a song performed by Diana Vickers in Boot Camp has been chosen as the winner's single.

The remaining acts are angry that bosses have selected the song 'Hallelujah' to be released by this year's victor, according to The Mirror.

Judge Louis Walsh told Vickers she had "made the song her own" after she performed it earlier in the competition.

"Tempers are running high. They feel it is just the latest in a series of stunts that have left them wondering if the competition has already been won," said a source.

"Many suspect producers are paving the way for Diana to win and there is nothing they can do.

"They feel even if the public put her in the bottom two, the judges will always save her."

The competition winner will perform the Leonard Cohen track during the final show. The single will be released on December 15.

This is one of my favourite songs. I want Diana to win anyway and she sang the song beautifully. I hated last years X Factor song so I'm glad they picked a good one this year.

The X Factor should consider making the songs the winner sings a Christmas one because if they steal the Christmas number 1 it's the least they could do.

It wouldnt make any difference if its true or not. Diana is getting signed one way or another. Even Gary Barlow said if Simon didnt sign her then he would.

She's going to win, sing that song, it'll be xmas number one (hopefully a better song will come along around the same time and beat her to it) and then by next xfactor she wont have been seen or heard from again. Then she will do her new "single" on the show.

This is what I hate about the show... everything is artifical and artists are forced to do things which clearly aren't for them.

Agreed. Very unfair and biased. It was the song that Diana sang that made lots of people jump on her bandwagon including me, and some of them have jumped off thinking she's not so good now, but after another performance of it, they'll be back on all right!
