So yh. i like to give xmas presies and specily spend alot on my girlfriend.

But theres a resession, well on a edge of one anyway, and i dont have as much cash as normal and can't spend what i normally wolud.

So yeh, need some ideas what to get my girlfriend for xmas..

Also, if you can think of somit, what can i get my mum?!

All good ideas will get + 4 REP

Same situation with me. LOL. I would probably end up going Netto and buying her a bar of chocolate.

Present for GF:
-Perfume
-Roses & Chocolate
-CDs
-Take her out to a restaurent

Present for Mum
-Perfume
-Roses and Chocolates
-By her some books or something really romantic to read

Dunno I am stuck for ideas. :S

Why are you buying your mum something really romantic? Is there something you're not telling us?

we're not in recession, we've not had two quarters of negative growth, only one.

I imagine your 'pocket money' hasn't went down and the fact shops are now having sales to sell their items, shows that its fine.

As if the economy changes have actually affected anyone of our age lol.. I've hardly noticed any difference (in fact I actually got a raise not that long ago) and my biggest purchases - food, drink, petrol - have all either stayed the same or gone down in price.

Maybe this year concentrate on something you can make her which she can keep forever - like a collage of you 2 neatly framed or something? Things like that are usually loved by girls coz they see you've made the effort to make them something special.

I haven't really noticed the recession... my life hasn't changed... if anything, we've got more money..

Why not get your mum some jewellery or like a statue or somethinggg
