Ok, im buying a new iPod Touch, and its most likely the 2nd gen version.

Wheres the cheapest place i can get it for? Will it have warranty?
Will it have the software update 2.1, with app store etc? I already bought the update, so in case it doesn't, can i sync it onto it?
Is it better than the 1st gen?

Many thanks :) +rep

Not sure on the cheapest place, but all of them come with Apple warranty, it will have 2.1 software with App Store.

IMO The 1st Gen is better until they jailbreak 2G.

I love my ipod touch, its great :)

If you go to buy.com I think you can get refurbished ones real cheap. :D

Note: I just went on buy.com and couldnt find any refurbished however I got the link to a 16GB one which is cheaper than when I bought it two weeks ago :P

I know it's off topic and totally pointless if you already have a large iPod...
But the iPod touch is a really massive thing (even bigger if you have a case on it, which most sane people do).
If you have an active lifestyle, you'd be much happier with a latest generation iPod nano.
I go out a lot and I've had to start putting my iPod touch in my back trouser pockets, because whenever I sit down somewhere I always feel my iPod digging into me. And believe me, it hurts when you sit down fast. :(

Despite this, the iPod touch is still a great bit of kit, I won't list all the features because you (hopefully) already know them all, but the device is a great boredom buster when you get some good apps off the App Store (no matter what iPod touch you get, it will have the App Store).

iPod Touches are ultra thin and not that big? :S

About as tall as a CD and wide as a fanta bottle?
