K well i got a custom domain but no hosting so the DNS is just set to default namecheap.com ones as they have my domain.

Is there any way i can set up so if i get emails to my email address i can just check through hotmail or forward it to hotmail?

On namecheap.com you can email forward through them but i set it up and i don't get anything forward so, any ideas and i can't be bothered buying hosting ;}

I'm already signed up to use MSN, and also to sign up you need to confirm an email, which i can't do due to no hosting.

You're not even suggesting, you're just wasting my time and getting your post count up.

Posting a what 3 million search result page, REALLY HELPFUL POST THERE (sarcasm, as you probably don't understand) The thread was posted for one to see if its possible without hosting then 2 for people to recommend a hosting website, not 3 million

I'm not wasting your time, I'm trying to find out what is your problem and trying to solve it.

If you really want free hosting then maybe it better to look around on google and look at the reviews?

I used http://www.**********/ and by far it good for what I needed doing.

So, anything else need sorting?

Hmmmm, I guess your gonna have to PM me, seeing habbox blocked it :)

Till then, try

I used them numbers of times

And look through thousands of reviews, or post on hxf and ask members to recommend, i wonder what one i'll choose.

My problem was clear as others had posted understanding

Maybe if your asking for free hosting, it might be better to ask in web host forum? seeing they know more then us in tech discussions

If you had actually gone on the link I gave you and read what it said then you would of realised that it actually offers free email hosting that you can access via the hotmail/windows live interface as well as enabling you to use MSN/WLM without confirming your email.

What will happen if you try setting it up to a domain you don't own? I just did google.co.uk :S.

Edit: Just cancelled it i don't want to get in trouble lol. I'd need to have the mx modified in Google's DNS entry anyway.

Sign up to free cPanel hosting, park the domain, set up the email account, then tell it to forward everything to whatever email address... as previously stated.

All in cPanel.

I could let you park your domain on my host and let you check your email via webmail or i can forward it to whereever.

"No MX records found for lexet.net"

You have not set it up correctly.

You have entered the host name wrong. With your current settings mail is setup for the subdomain lexnet.net.lexnet.net. Additonally you would be accessing you mail via mail.lexnet.net.lexnet.net and that TXT record is for lexet.net.lexet.net.

For subdomains enter ONLY what you want the subdomain to be called e.g for mail.lexet.net you would type in mail as the host name. @ = lexet.net and www = www.lexnet.net. So for your mail settings you want the hostname to be @ rather than lexet.net. For your TXT record you'll also only want @ as the hostname.
