OK so my mate went to Gamestation today and wanted to know how much he could get for Fable 2 trade in and they said £16. The night before, he had checked CEX website to see how much they give for trade in and it was £30, so he printed it off and gave it to the guy behind the counter in Gamestation and he matched it, so my mate got £30 trade in at Gamestation. Quite good in my opinion, but the CEX store has to be within a 5 mile radius to Gamestation.

lol cool, there is one within mine.
But It would be kinda daft going in and them saying no.

They wouldn't say no if you had evidence of CEX's trade in price. :)

Could just trade it in at CEX but oh well xD

My CEX is like almost directly opposite GameStation, then game like two shops across from Gamestation then another game a little down the road lol

Yeah, but then you have to wait for ages until someone trades in a game you want.

Never realised how good cex's trade in's were!
If i traded in my smackdown vs raw i'd get 7 quid profit for exchange or 2 quid profit for cash lol.
I might bring gta 4 svr09 and fable 2 there tommorrow and get 64 pound cash

my cex to gamestation is less than 1 minute walk so it would be pretty pointless :P

For a 30k investment in the cEx company franchising you can be arning up to £70,000 a year from owning a cEx store, i looked at their franchising overview lol

They are a hugely established business in Derby there's one on the west side of the westfield centre, and then one on the east lol xD!

Heres an idea : you could change the price of a game to like £35 instead of £28 and print it off then see if they accept ;)

What about this.
Fable II in gamestation, £20.

Buy like 4 copies, trade them all in. £20 profit cash, £40 profit trade.

So tomorrow, I'm getting two copies of Fable II. Trade one in in CeX, £25 cash. Trade one in in Gamestation for £25 cash or £30 trade :)

CEX works because people see the Trade in prices and Trade them in for store credit but the games themselves are often higher than RRP even so you end up using all of your store credit on one game. Basically they give good trade in prices for store credit because the stuff in there is so expensive.

I exchanged some games, wanted them to meet CeX's price, I got told they wern't going to meet it cuz it's a 10 mile radius apparently. Anyway, after it were done the guy told me a CeX was opening next week right opposite GameStation.

Safe to say, I was pissed.

LOL same for my Gamestation in Nottingham, but CEX is small in Nottingham too. :@It is rather yeah, I was sick in Gamestation a few weeks back lol, there was actually a pram in the doorway so I couldn't get out lol, I suspect it was the GTA IV price at £50 which made me throw up but I some how know it was Pizza Hut (Or Pasta Hut now :P).
