Hey,
Today i logged onto my laptop, and it asked me would i like to check the drive for constancy, I agreed and off it went, took about 20 minutes to complete the whole operation.

It then rebooted, and when i attempted to login at the login screen, I recived two error messages

one of them is
DWM.exe 0xc000007B

It's saying its not working or whatever, i click ok, then the second error message comes up i click ok

It now loads with a blank black page, i pulled up task manager and it worked, but i cannot see the toolbar/icons ect

Anyone know what to do? I tried a system restore, to before it did it's drive checking, but to no avail.

Got the OS Disk Around?
Try putting that in.

DWM.EXE appears to be a Windows Desktop manager. I found it running on my
system (Vista Ultimate). It is present in Windows\system32\ folder but it is
impossible to get it started (because it is already running) and impossible
to get help with dwm.exe /?

The thing that makes me suspicious is that the error code you supplied does
not appear to be Windows Vista Error code.

I think you should try to copy a few top events (errors only) from the event
viewer and post them here.

You have to repair the problem, that's for sure.

Some of the options is to use a Vista installation disk in repair mode, call
your manufacturer (they are responsible for any trouble with the OS), do a
complete security checkup (see some other posts as of today for that), etc.
