Unlocking iphone

Hiya

Basically I have bought an iphone and am waiting on it being delivered.

I will not be using the whole crappy contracts they offer you though, and I currently use a SIM only contract thats on o2.

I'm wondering if I will be able to just stick this in and use it? Or will I need to unlock?

If I do need to unlock it, how do I go about that? I've seen "turbo unlock sims" and stuff on ebay so is that the way? lol

I will also be looking for jailbreaking help pretty soon I guess rofl... how easy is it?

Yeah lol. The contract would be on a sim card, not the phone, so even if it did have a contract on it, you could take the sim card out and there would no longer be a contract. :)

I think he means, for example if the phone was locked to Orange, you may have got Orange exclusive applications and after unlocking, they would be corrupt or something.

phone up o2 and say you want a £10 month unlimited data plan. and they'll do it...

yeah, you will have the internet, but you'd have to pay for every 1MB normally works out to be £3 per 1MB.

Yeah just make sure that you have the unlimited data/wifi bolt on, else when you get your bill you'll literally die :$

anyway, if it's not already unlocked then you can easily swap the sim cards around and they'll work (as long as they're 02) which means you wont really need to unlock it anyway, which is pretty risky :O
