Well, I am from the UK but I have seen twilight four times in the last two days. My dumb sister who doesn't understand any stories I like, like vampire stories etc is gonna watch it with me later and then when my half sister is back up me and her are going to watch it. I cannot get enough of it, and Im naughty cause I've been watching it on the net :O
It's really interesting and I reccomend that when it comes out in the UK that you should go pay and see it cause it's worth it :')
Apparently it will be out on dvd in the UK on January 1st, 2009. Does anyone know if that's true so I don't go spending my money?
It's a bummer how they didn't put in half of my favorite scenes from the book. Hopefully new moon, eclipse and breaking dawn will be better :D

the only reason catherine hardwick was replaced was because she wanted to work on the script for new moon before filming but the studio want to rush the film for an 09 release apparantly.

When I was in Manchester Airport about to leave for America, I bought Twilight in the bookstore, and when I finished it I bought the other three.. and I may admit that their the best books I've ever read :P

I loved it. My mum hated me always talking about it, and she thought the concept of Twilight was stupid, but she said after watching the movie, she understands the hype of it. And she is going to read the books after I read them for the gazillionth time. =]

I just went to see it today.
It was a lot better than I expected. I thought it would just be like Harry Potter with terrible acting and no where near as good as the book, but it was actually pretty good.
Although some of the parts I couldn't really hear very well because the cinema was packed full of screaming girls. :rolleyes:

I was supposed to see it last night and today, but I'm too sick (literally, cannot move much)
I've already seen it, I went to the advance press screening in London in November, but I was looking forward to last night.
Oh well, hopefully I'll be well enough to see it tomorrow or Monday.
To be honest, as a movie, it's really not that great. Had I not read the books, I wouldn't have liked it. The acting in some places was cringworthy, and they changed a lot. It sucks that it's made so much money for Summit, and they're not putting enough money back into it. I'm not getting my hopes up for New Moon, hopefully it will suprise me.
The thing I'm looking forward to the most is TwiCon! (Twilight convention in Dallas in July, I'm going, yay!)

AND WHAT WERE THEY THINKING ABOUT JACOB. He only lived up to his georgus reputation where he talked to Bella at the prom. Everyone, including myself, went mad at that point. But Ben Barnes as Jacob = Drool. Plus, Ben Barnes can act. Alice was really different to how I imagined her, but it was more accurate to my picture. My fave character had to be Jasper. LOLFACTOR. but when Bella and Edward climbed the tree everyone was like WTH?!?!!?

I would recomend it if you've read the books, or if someone takes you. But if your a guy who hasn't read the books, don't go.

WTH? Ben Barnes isn't, and never has been up for the role of Jacob...He's supposed to be playing Aro. Which, is kind of a good part for him.

first off all the casting was perfect really and honestly. How better could bella get across the "stubborn" attitude? sorry but you wouldnt be able to do ANY better. As for Edward he was casted to perfection, along with the rest of the cullen's. My personal favourite had to be Emmett ahaha, gorgeous boy gorgeous! As for Jacob Black he was only in the film for a total of 5 minutes all together, so how can anyone judge his acting? He did come across very "JACOBY" in the last scene he was in.

I've read all the books, from ages ago ahah sitting waiting for days for eclipse and breaking dawn to be released... I think the film does a pretty good job. What else could they have possiably done?

I actually find the fighting scene incrediably boring (maybe its because im a girl?) it was all about seeing jame's get rough!! aha for me anyways.

well there were some amazing scenes, and i really liked the cast. but overall i wish summit hadn't picked up the movie. perhaps a more well known production company. my only grudge was the production, everything else was great

i agree with you there, wasn't he meant to be more annoying then Eric? Jessica did a good job though, she managed to annoy the hell out of me!

there was something else I didn't like about the film and it was just that last scene in the hospital when Kirsten Stewart did some terriable acting when shes like "you cant.. i .. you.. cant leave me again!" or whatever, it was actually really bad lol.

as for that there's good eye candy and i think the film did really well, im hoping the on stage chemistry will get better + i dunno if i'll cry in new mooon if it doesnt? lol.

have to say my favourite scene was the green house & when there leaving the greenhouse, he was very much edward then.

:) they dont really need special effects anywhere else in the film, apart from the sparkles which we all know what looks like.
