I think Habboxforum should get gender forums (2 forums, if you are a boy u can only view the male one, if you are a girl you can only view the female one). Clubhabbo have started using them and its a great idea.

It could always be password protected, and if a girl is found to have entered a male forum or something they get banned? I dunno. :P

This has been suggested loads of times before but the answer has always been no because there will always be a way to view both female and male.

Could be good in the teen life & health section.yes well I can't see it going down very well in the graphics or web design section? :S

Seriously where else would it go lol.

It's a nice idea, however there is obvious flaws and frankly if you're posting something that sensitive on HabboxForum that you wish to be gender specific, then you should really get off this forum and onto a proper advice forum. I'm all for getting rid of the health section etc :P

I remember this being bought up ages ago and I still think it's a bad idea.

Have a moderated group (you can use repected users and not just moderators for this) to which people must request membership.

Girls would request to join the girl forum group, and boys likewise for the boy forum group.

Maybe?

Personally I very highly doubt it would work as basically it's impossible to truly determine if someone is male or female and additionally it's pointless as people would abuse it. Also what is the difference really why do the sexes need to be split up into 2 forums for that set sex to discuss things only - I don't think it would be used that much and it would be a bit of a trivial thing in my opinion.

Thanks for the feedback but personally I doubt this will be implemented primary because there's no sole and clear way of keeping the forums used appropriately. :(

Its a good idea if it would actually work because you could have males talking about male problems to one and other and same with females but like said in previous posts it can easily be changed so wont really work :(

Yeh but there isn't really anything "sexual" to talk about because it's against the rules to talk about that. So would it be acceptable for males/females to talk about there private bits etc on here?

Well I didnt mean sexual problems, more like puberty, girls/boys etc. Things you would only want to speak to the same sex about.

What would the point be :S Men can discuss women issues and women can discuss mens issues :S

Why can't men discuss a woman's health? Not all doctors that deal with women are women themselves, health tips can be given and received by any gender...

Apart from all the points brought up here, you have to also recognize that no forum would ever be, at least truly male-free because the AGMs and Admins and Super Moderators do have to be able to view both forums for moderative reasons :P Yes we have Jess but it won't always be that way and even then.

Oh, and if its such a sanctum for guy talk or girl talk then when someone of the other gender saw it it could be really problematic so even if we ban people or whatnot, it might not make up for problems being exposed.

This kind of talk, if it needs to be private, can be had on a teen forum or with close friends. Otherwise there's the health forum.

Why don't you just have sub-section in the teen section where you have to have 1000 posts or more, 100 or so being from the teen and health section in order to view it. And even then you have to PM a member of management who decide if your mature enough to be granted access to that section.

Would surely just encourage spamming even more.. there isn't really a big issue with people posting useless "IS MY PENIS TOO BIG LOLOLOL" threads any more, and as the internet can be almost entirely anonymous anyway I don't think it matters so much if a girl living half way around the world knows that you sometimes wet the bed or whatever it is people like to post about

Gender forums fail on every forum, we've had this discussion before. I don't agree with them tbf.

Bit extreme, but then we also come back to the problem of password distribution, its not feasible for us to PM or email people individually and if it was availible on forum then we have the problem with people switching their gender again.

Not particular needed i personally don't think they would be used all that much. If you check the teen forums anything that you would consider to be posted in gender forums is posted there anyways, gender related questions etc. If gender forums were created i don't think it would make anybody post it more. If it was something personal and they were going to post it on the internet i don't think they would be to bothered who saw it?
