1.Introduction
Hello this is Adam’s tutorial on How to setup a radio DJ panel for free. In order to use this feature you will have to have already got a radio. Please feel free to ask questions and/or comment below.
****************************************
2.Getting a good host
Now, this is the part a lot of people find the hardest, finding a good, free host that can have a Mysql database. I recommend free hostia (http://www.freehostia.com (http://www.freehostia.com/)) for various reasons, you can have a Mysql database, you have a lot of space, you get 1 ftp account and it’s all free! Please note that there are other free hosts like this and if you find one you prefer then please feel free to use it but this tutorial will tell you how to set it up on free hostia. Also note that you can pay for a host and say it is easier but please note the title (....Free).

3.Setting up the Mysql on your host
Please note that this step only says how to do it on free hostia but it will be similar on different hosts. Right, first off login to your free hostia account on http://cp.freehostia.com (http://cp.freehostia.com/) and click on the option that says “Mysql databases”
It will look like this:
http://hwuk.freehostia.com/imgs/mysql%20db.png
Next where it says database name enter something like panel and where it says password put something like admin (please remember these details). Click “Add SQL Database” And that’s it, Mysql database created! :)

4.Choosing a panel.
This is another step that a lot of people find hard as there are a lot of panels about today. If to you having a Habbo related is a must then I recommend The Housekeeping Guy (You will have to look for a link because I can’t remember one, sorry! Feel free to post one but any viruses will be reported). But if it being Habbo related isn’t a must for you then I recommend Radio DJ Panel v3. (http://download.quickscriptz.ca/?s=rdjp&f=3.0.3.zip direct download, you will need winrar. http://www.rarlab.com/rar/wrar380.exe once again this is direct). Please not that you can use a different panel but in this tutorial I will use Radio DJ Panel v3 as in my opinion it looks professional, it’s free and it is easy to set up, All done in this area :).

5.Configuring the panel
(please note: If you find a panel other than Radio DJ Panel and want instructions on how to set it up please post below (with the link) and I will tell you how.)
Right, now we will need to configure the panel (this includes uploading it!). For this we will need a FTP client. I recommend FileZilla as it is easy to use and fast at uploading (Download: https://www.ohloh.net/p/filezilla/download?filename=FileZilla_3.1.6_win32-setup.exe) Right connect the ftp client to your host using the details (with free hostia you would have got these in the email when you signed up) and drag the files to the process queue and upload them (note: you might want to make it in a directory called /panel or /staff or something like that. Then once you have done that go to http://yourdomain.freehostia.com/install or if you uploaded it to a directory go to http://yourdomain.freehostia.com/what-ever-you-put-here/install it will tell you what files you need to CHMOD (to do it with FileZilla right click on the file click on this button:
http://hwuk.freehostia.com/imgs/chmod.png
Then type 777 into the box)
Then when you get to the Mysql details part it gets hard. Use this screen shot to help you set up the Mysql bit. Note Only Edit the parts in bold ( I added a red = for added effect :)) (please also note that the _’s are needed so don’t take them out... Well you can but then your panel Won’t work.)
http://hwuk.freehostia.com/imgs/mysql%20config.png
After that it is very easy to setup the panel because all you need to do is fill in the details to the radio which is easy if you have a radio and you have to make the admin account ( not hard just fill in the details).

6.Credits and other boring stuff
Credits to:
Adam (Me): For making this tutorial
Quick Scripts: For making the radio DJ Panel
Free hostia: For being a free, easy to setup host.
All bits of cheese: For being a yellow piece of food.
SpongeBob Square Pants: For being a yellow fictional (:0) character.
You are free to use this tutorial and I would like it if you credited me but I won’t force you as: There is no way of proving that you used this tutorial and It isn’t illegal to read something simple, follow the instructions and always give credit. For example if you read how to cook something then you don’t always need to point out the book that you had used.
Feel Free to comment.
