woodcutting may be easy but i need to get a good attack level so i can use better axes. :P so i am going for 20 attack (mith) then 30 (ADDY)
then 40 (rune)

you also need 41 wc to use rune axe:P

You can be 1 attack and still use a dragon axe. Just can't weild it.

You can use the axes regardless of your attack, you just need to have it in your inventory.
The only difference is that it means you can hold 1 less item

good luck :), woodcutting shouldnt be hard.
