Hey, my friend said some credits went missing from his account, and said someone stole them. He accusing me of doing it, when I never! He said habbo has a system where they check the IPs that have been on that account, track the habbo using that IP, ask them to give the stolen things back and if they don't they get IP banned.. Is this true or is he trying scare me because he thinks I did it?

Thanks :)

He's more than likely scaring you - but Habbo would have an IP log system. I am not certain or sure of it though unless someone can agree with me xD

Hmm agreed, it would make sence for Habbo to have an IP Tracking system just incase something like this really did happen. But yeah he is probably just messing with you.

Haha, thanks :) +Rep
I didn't think they would do that, because it's his own fault for giving out his password.
And it says in the FAQs is furni goes missing and theres no proof it has been stolen then there is nothing they can do about it.

EDIT: Seads - +Rep to you too, thanks!

They do have a list of IPs for every account, it was shown when Housekeeping got hacked. They also don't give the option of "Give it back or face a ban", it's a straight ban.

This isnt true, he is trying to scare you thinking that you stole it and trying to make you give it back.

It is true...
They DO have the IPs of everyone logged into a specific account for this purpose. However, they won't just deliberately ban him because his 'friend' presumed it's him. They'll cross reference the 'odd' IP logged into the account with any other accounts it logs into more frequently and presume that to be said hacker. If the 'odd' IP is that of the person being accused then they are likely to have hacked him.

There's nothing to worry about, they do keep logs though. by his vicious threats it sounds like he's all mouth, if you do get banned, im sure you would have a case, as account sharing is not prohibited but you could always play stupid

They only have the last IP access for an account.
