They are apparently cracking down and anyone with a non-gold clan tag in Double XP lobbies are getting banned or punished in some way.

I doubt that becuase on the Call of Duty Headquarters site it says that you can invite non-collectors edition players to play with you for double xp.

I have a gold clan tag because someone with Collector's Edition recover my tag, lucky me.
