View Full Version : Bad Coughing Fits

Well since monday i have been unwell with a sore throat, and with other things like dizzyness and headaches anywhoo...

Every now and thne i cough and something tickles my thorat and i cough again, but half way through that cough i start another cough and i cant breath, it lasts for about 10 coughs, about 8 seconds.

How can i stop it, cos it really hurts

I have this as well, very annoying. It feels a bit like the flu at times, lol. A lot of people have had it in our school. I've just been taking Calpol (woo) and have had some VapoRub on a tissue underneath my pillow. Seems to work.

LOL, im too old for calpol now, but it tastes proper nice, they should create a sweet that tastes like it.

I've been taking that erm Nurofen for everything else, but dunno what to take for bad throat

YOU ARE NEVER TOO OLD FOR CALPOL :P
Seems to work better than tablets for me. We don't have any cough medicine or anything, for sore throats I have Strepsils.

i hate the tablets you have to swallow in one, i always freak out just whne im about to swallow it, ive tried water with it, milk cos its thicker, i just cant do it

so i have to have the ones you disolve in a glass of water,, eww the taste

and i've been having what your having, feeling dizzy and coughing fits and hot flushes

been on paracetamal lol and upped my water intake.
not that it was low in the first place but yeah.

Ive had it before, part of the flu/cold really. Suck on some strepsils or lockets. :)

I lived on tunes and soothers for 3 days when I was ill. Anyway I was out today and I saw something in the newspaper about a flu epidemic, everyone probably has had the flu at some stage this winter. Rest up and drink warm or really cold drinks. :)

Suck on some strepsils or lockets. :)

I would say that would work best, made my throat better, and didnt keep coughing.
