Has your computer still got pesky viruses?
Have you been banned for safety reasons?
Post all your issues here!
I may have low post count but I am great with computers.
I can NOT guarantee I will fix it.

Post away.

If you have a virus/spywear don't bother removing it. There is no guarantee that it will get removed even if your scanner has found part of it. If you do get a virus do a clean install of your OS over the infected partition.

So your saying when lyke the FBI get a attempt at a keylogger or something, they reformat? No they don't.

Anti viruses do remove the virus, unless it's encrypted it's self to your hard drive, then if the virus is smart, you need a brand new hard drive because it'll still be there even if you reformat. Unless you write over your HD and go "anti-fbi-search-style".

If you get a keylogger, usually the person logging you hides it from antivirus programs using various means. I would always format, and recommend formatting if anyone ever got a keylogger.

Viruses can't "embed" them selves into your Hard drive. All they can do is reside as data with can be deleted by a simple QUICK format, let alone a full format.

Half the people in the technology section are able to answer query's about viruses, you cant come in here like that and think you are the beez neez, you have to prove yourself before you even think about making a thread like this

If you reformat the virus can't stay on the drive . The only way to stay 100% safe if you know you have a virus is to reformat. If the virus is smart enough it might make a decoy which is detected as a virus, so you think you have removed it, but the virus could still be on your system.

This thread is useless (and even if it wern't it's still in the wrong section).

It's useless because if users want help they'll make a new thread. Basically all you've accomplished was saying you have hardly any post here, yet you're good with computers? To me you're also implying that we need a thread like this. We don't.
