Well ive had glasses for a few years now, about 3 i'd say , I didnt wear my glasses as i really am not a specs person and dont suit them at all, so i started wearign contacts like 2 years ago, i find them great much better than wearing specs, and they can be really comfortable, i hate taking them out at night and the fact that they get really really dry tho, and i was considering lazer surgey when im 18, in a year and a bit .. but is it worth it is the question, 20/20 eyesight for 10 years at the minimum £395 per eye .. but the thing is, if you count up how much each month u pay for contact lenses and add it all together for 10 years, it would cost much more and with eye lazer surgery it would be so much less hassle, not havintg to put them in/take them out all the time etc ..

I would say you should get it, but alot of places say you have to be 21 to recive the treatment.

I wear glasses for years, i have kept losing them all together ive had probs 10-30 glasses. :P
Anyway its up to you but i would consider wearing glasses, they have quite fashionable comfy glasses out there especially in Specsavers.
If you were asking me this question 20 years ago then i would save go for it! :P
You should have along think about it before you make any decisions.

Well it depends. If you want to look good, do it, if you don't care what you look like, don't.

you have to be at least 21 or 27 in some places. you can get it done @ any age if you wanna go to india and have a dodgy bloke do it fer ya. i think it's worth it though and as soon as i'm old enough i'm getting it fer sure.

Yeh I am sure optical express let you once you are 18.
I'm currently very strongly considering it myself.
Does it totally restore your eyesight though? So you won't need any form of aid at all?

I think you have to be at least 21 yeah, it burns off the part of your eye which is how your eyesight gets blurred. I can't remember the name of it, but it lasers off a layer of skin off your eye which makes vision more clearer, it's well worth it if you have the money. The results are pretty outstanding.

It also depends on do you have an active lifestyle where your glasses get in the way.
And after surgery you don't need any glasses or contact lenses, they come out perfect

Ooo btw, I don't think you can get your eyes lasered twice. I'm sure it's a one-off thing.
I've been thinking about it for a while, but I'm scared of it going wrong and going blind.

Theres a lot of advantages and disadvantes to either have this surgury or not.
If it goes wrong - it could damage your eye sight for life however if it goes all as well you have repaired eyes (:
I think as u'll be spending more on contact lenses than the surgury yearly you should get the treatment.
I think the odds are low for it to go wrong as many people have it and they know what they are doing :D
Goodluck on your final decision!
No 18 is the legal age, but they RECOMMEND at the age of 21.

My dad has had his eyes lasered 3 times, they keep going back to what his original eye sight was after a couple of years or so and they've basically just told him to give up! So he's back in glasses now.
But my mum had hers done and they've been fine for years now, so it can go either way I suppose.

I had it when I was like 8, need glasses again now though which im ok with. I use contacts most of the time. Its not really worth it because you need to cut back on all eye damaging activities like using the computer, television, flashing lights etc. Even by cutting down on them alot you need to get it done every few years, so its like a tri-yearly bill. (I think it's 3 years)
