Just wondering, should I renew for another year of ESET SS, or go for another like Kaspersky?
ESET or go free and use avast! like me.

If I went for Avast or something, what about a firewall?

I personally just use Windows Firewall and i've been fine. Comodo is a good free alternative though.
Edit: just realised Comodo no longer just let you have the firewall on it's own. They make you have their internet security suite which i don't think the A/V is particularly good in.
Edit again: you can choose to only install the firewall during the setup process. http://forums.comodo.com/which_product_do_you_want_comodo_to_develop_next/firewall_only-t31245.0.html;msg224235

Update. Some times you need to restart only once to get the unlim going.

Yeah but every A/V uses a **** load of the computers usage. ESET uses tiny but does the job.
