View Full Version : it's getting ridiculous.

the action times on this forum are ridiculous. the last time action was taken on the one of the threads in the 'report infraction problems' thread was november 30th. the 'report reputation problems' thread had a ridiculous amount of posts in it up until not to long ago. these threads should be checked daily and appropriate action should be taken. if you can't keep up with the work, give the job to somebody who is willing to do the job.

i'm not saying i can do the job better, but i'm sure somebody on this forum can do it better than the people that are currently hired to do so. i read a thread earlier and i guess the 'report reputation problems' thread is being checked on a regular basis, good job to who ever is doing this and keep it up, maybe some of the other people that work for this forum can learn from you.

I check the reputation problems thread everyday since I was assigned that task so that's not an issue anymore.

As for report infraction problems then yeah you're probably right.

Did you just delete the old thread or something? Because my reputations weren't even looked at.

We are accually only running on half at the moment. We have had a smod who is off because of computer problems and 2 of us have been off for exams. We try out best to keep everything all updated but due to us being stretched we cant always do this.

I am sorry that the thread has not been sorted. We have been very streched as i said and this must have just sliped mine and the other smods minds.

I will look into it now.

Thanks

I don't want to appear rude but I don't think you can use that one of you are having computer problems and two of you have exams. You evidently know there is a problem so why isn't anyone doing anything about it and if they are why is it taking them so long?! If it hasn't been looked at since the 30th that's two weeks which is certainly inexcusable.

Pardon ?

I have returned today from being off last week from exams and the other mod off for exam i think is also returning today. The person who has computer problems is still away.

We have alot to do and with only half the team there we sometimes forget things. You have brought this to my and the others attention and we are actually doing something about it. If you care to look i am looking into them now as i said i would.

Nice to know it takes two weeks. Don't take things so personally, it's hardly an attack on you, in fact it isn't an attack on anyone. People being away is not a valid excuse for members (some of which pay money to support the site) having to wait two weeks.

in the real world, excuses like 'i have exams' or 'my computer broke' are not valid. if you told your employer 'i have exams' ahead of time they might be able to make accommodations for your absence. the computer story is stupid, we all know that when your computer breaks, you take it to the computer shop and they fix it within a couple of days, not two weeks.

as for you hayd93, it appears that you had ample time to tie up loose ends on the forum.

Actually all three revenge reputations I've gotten recently have been removed. It's funny too, all of them were from the same user. I thought after giving reputation regardless of it being removed, you're unable to rep that user for 30 days.

I see your point in the fact them some things have been neglected recently. We have had some Smods off due to various reasons, not that this is an excuse but combined with the other jobs we have to do already especially the post reports can be very time consuming.

The post reports are focussed on first when it comes to things been done and in the shortage of attention to that job as well it seems that thread had been forgotten about for the time.

All we can do is apologise and assure you things are being taken care of.

I don't think that's very fair. Firstly it's not the real world and we're not paid. People put their real world lives first. However, I agree that people shouldn't be paying for something then have to wait for 2 weeks to sort something out.

There has to be a line in the middle somewhere. Having been at Habbox for myself I know that people have PC problems and exams but leaving it for two weeks isn't acceptable. After one week, something should have been done and there's no getting around that.

Thats all I wanted to begin with, not lame excuses.

On viewing the thread I sent a PM around the super mods requesting it be checked more often, admittedly the management should probably check it more too so its partly a failure on my part. I neglegted to post here telling you so apologies for that.

However, I would ask you to sympathise with our position. We have half of our super mod team off for one reason or another and inevitably there will be a decrease in the effectiveness of the way things happen until we have our team running at full pelt again. As Jake says, over 2 weeks is taking the piss slightly but we are now keeping careful watch on it :)

Of course, I'm only speaking on behalf of the infractions thread, the rep thread is brandon's problem :P

If you are so busy studying for exams you shouldn't be going on the forum. It's like calling in sick to your job, but then going there to hang out.

It's nice to see SOME of the staff accept responsibility for their actions! I have gained a lot of respect for some people, and lost a lot for others.

We have alot to do and with only half the team there we sometimes forget things.

Then there is obviously not enough hard-working members of the super moderator team - It's only recently (in the last few months) that areas have begun to slack so it's evident that someone isn't pulling their weight; a two week wait for a job that would take literally twenty minutes (and even less time with a joint effort) is completely inexcusable.

Didn't you get the memo? When staff cannot come into the Habbox offices they're supposed to call Nvrspk4's line (you know, the phone line he has that he pays for with all the money he makes from Habbox) and tell him ahead of time:rolleyes:.

It doesn't need to be checked more frequently, though. A few days ago I had 3 negative reputations removed within one and a half days. Just a few hours ago I posted another reputation to be removed and it was removed.

Thats all I wanted to begin with, not lame excuses.

Not all forums have the option to remove reputation. It's a privilege. There's no sense in crying about how you think it takes too long for reputation to be removed. Even when you made this thread the situation had been fixed anyways.

Where did it say I was 'crying' to have reputation removed? This whole tread started with the report infractions tread and long it took for action to be taken on the posts in it. So I don't know what you’re on about.

Here we go again with hayd93, the infraction tread hasn't been checked since the 12th and here he is on the forum numerous times today, http://www.habboxforum.com/search.php?searchid=3748180 (http://www.habboxforum.com/search.php?searchid=3748180), see for yourself!

Well, it's not like you would know the difference between a real job and a internet job? Daddy is rich and retired right? Any job is a job weather you are being paid or not, you should give it your all and if you can't, get a different one.

If you had to choose between something in real life, and a Habbox job, I seriously doubt any sane person would choose the Habbox job; unless they were planning on leaving their real life job anyways.
