I got a 0/300 for being late to class because I was at the doctors.

The law you learn at A Level will confuse you to no end if you took a degree in it, some University's would even go as far to decline you on a Law course if you had an A Level in Law :P

No offence to you as a person Jordy, but everything in bold is utter bull.

Law at A Level should not confuse you at degree level. It will in fact help, but it is not a prerequisite because you will cover everything in greater depth anyway. The sense of familiarity you get when covering an area you have seen before is most helpful.

NO universities will decline anyone for studying Law amongst other subjects; it is a myth which you and/or your friend are helping to give life to. The most stringent on which subjects are applicable to those at degree level are some Cambridge University colleges, describing Law A Level as having "limited suitability" for the likes of Law and social science courses, i.e. it is not "not useful".

The worst that could possibly happen is that you would receive an offer (like I did) asking for particular grades in your other three subjects, excluding Law. That does not mean you would be rejected on the basis of taking Law as an A Level. Cod is right. The way you should look at it is that universities do not require Law, but nor do they discourage you taking it. It is far more useful than "Accounting, Applied Science, Citizenship, Communication Studies, Computing, Critical Thinking, Dance, Environmental Science, General Studies, Health & Social Care, Home Economics, ICT, Leisure Studies, Music Technology, Performance Studies, Performing Arts, Photography, Physical Education, Sports Studies, Travel & Tourism" for the more competitive courses.

Hope I've helped with any misconceptions.
