Hi
How do I set up a mac email address? I click the Mail icon in the taskbar thing, and then it says I need to set up an email but I cannot find how. All help appreciated, +rep for answers :)

Click on mail icon in dock. Let it load ect. Then to to File > Add account.

You will then go through the process of setting it up ect.

When I click on next aswell, I am asked to type in my mac email but I need to set one up first; thats the problem.

How about trying to add in your own email account when it says that? See what it does.

On the 'account type', there is Mac, POP, IMAP and Exchange. Which one would I put for gmail?

You could use either POP or IMAP.

edit: whats my email server? e.g mail.example.com :S

Oh I see, on Leopard there is an automatic setup process for most popular email services (Gmail, yahoo, etc.)

on the Outgoing Mail Server, what do i put for gmail? i know the incoming one but not outgoing..
