Said something about Microphone chat?

My idea is simple, and certainly not original.

The truth is, im a lazy jerk. Typing is fun sometimes, and my story writing abilities are off the charts... But i get so dam lazy, my hands are hurting now at this point and ive done basically nothing.

I have a microphone, I have a PS3, I have Cod4, I have a headset for my ps3, Headsets save so much time, no wonder you cant type but just think how much effort and energy microphone chat would save you, here’s an alteration i did of what id want the Microphone chat to look like.

Basically there would be a big sound icon at the bottom (Monophone) and when you click it a box comes up, when you press down the green triangle it starts recording your voice, up to 6 seconds can be recorded at a time, obviously it would make more sense making it 5 or 10 anyway, by pressing the red circle the audio recording stops, then by going into the chat box and pressing enter your message will be heard by other Habbos, you can however disable all Microphone chat by clicking the text in the top left hand which states "disable microphone".

To enable microphone you have to agree to all the conditions like you would by removing the filter. Basically its because words cant be filtered, however sound conversations would still be logged, so moderators could take action in the same way they would for text.

What do you think to my first alteration idea? And who supports?

Not exactly, Audio recordings have time limits so moderators wouldnt waste that much time, as for Racism im pretty sure you could bend the rules to sound filtering them words in some way, but if not just get a few more helpers on the job.

People are racist now the filters off, theyll always be racist. You cant just say "Begone racists" and expect them to dissapear. Text or sound Racism will be exactly the same, by giving you the Terms and conditions like you would by turning off the filter, you make the descision.

You could disable it, and you could mute someone by just clicking shut up. So for those who disagree, they dont need it.

Also there would be an option in rooms so you could disable all audio chat.

This idea is bullet proof for stopping annoying kids.

Hah, it's cool but I'd get terrified if someone were to scare the hell outta me with a scary voice or something like that. I think it's good, but also easily abused.

Then just talk to the people you want to talk to and mute everyone else, its not hard.

And it could work like whisper and only the habbos you click on would hear your message.

Also messages wouldnt all happan at the same time, its like text, you cant have 2 text boxers at the same time side by side, your recording has to finish befoure someone else's message is heard.

Also there would be an "Only hear freinds" Option for your buddys.

We already have all of them, and always will regardless.

As for Lag and delays, theres also a soloution.

If you said this to official staff they would just ignore it, You say theirs a soloution but really, is their? And By the ones you made bold, I know we already have them but That would just seriously make it worse, You'd get people screaming at you and probaly threats.

You can hardly call that an alt and this is turning into a discussion thread.

The alt is pretty poor, You obviously enlarged the normal sound icon and made it look terrible.
The room is poor-quality and your editing of the text is poor as well. :P

I'm not sure about the time limits you're allowed to talk for, maybe it should be extended or have no limit at all, it might be annoying if you're having a proper good conversation and you get cut off :/

Thats another good alternate.

If Sulake dedicated themselves and pulled Microphone chat off, it would be big and thats only the beginning - Imagine an End war voice controlled habbo like someone suggested earlier back in the thread, habbo could climb to new limits and win some serious awards.

Of course that would take lots of time, money and programming.

Its a pity though.

Anyway, the alteration is crap. It's absolutely appalling. It's blurry, stretched, patchy, and looks like no effort has been put into this at all.

Second of all, chat would just not work. Imagine instead of reading

You'll hear it. And so will pretty much everyone in your house hear screaming noobs begging for free furni. Not to mention how will this work in crowded rooms or public rooms that have celebrities or hotel staff in? 'We love you lost_witness!" being called out every three seconds. But don't get me wrong, I'm not just hating on you, I just think:

This would never work, and your presentation of your idea is absolutely appalling.
