Why is everyone after me? (Fallout 3)

I was in Megaton and disarmed the bomb i went to see Lucas Simms and he gave me the key to a house. I went in the house and when i came out everyone was coming after me to kill me. I hadn't killed or even attempted to kill anyone. Why are they suddenly trying to kill me?

I just killed everyone in Megaton if they went after me, you get loads of money but make sure that you have a back up town to buy medical supplies from (Rivet City).
Maybe you accidently stole something, it's easy to do.

Its weird in parts that game. I was walking and just got ambushed by some random merc's, was pretty soon on.

If it glitched no point in letting them win, pop them!

I killed a few of them and left then came back later and they were acting normal.

Oh I think I know why they were after you

because you defused the bomb and some of them worshipped it.

I defused it and everyone in Megaton is cool with me.
