Anime Club sorta thing??

Well, i remember pauls idea for everyone to watch Neon Genesis Evangelion and not so many people watched it. but what im thinking is since some of us would be willing to watch a series ect i know im wanting to have a look at a few other series so i think we could hold some sort of weekly series? Every Friday A new one can be chosen and anyone whos wanting to take part can watch ect. short series so mayb 30 eps or less i think most poople could get through that in a week? or we can mayb 40 eps for a 2 weeks? jsut an idea.

So firstly of all since i dont stream anime. is th like im either buying offcial dvd or d/lere any good sites with lots of series not just the popular ones in a decent quality?

Secondly, Name short series and how many eps there are. that way i can sort out a list

Interesting idea, but I know for a fact that once College starts again after Christmas I could maybe get through about 6 episodes a week, if that. It'll also be a task trying to find a series everyone is willing to watch, because I'm sure most people would rather watch whatever they want, since it is up to them afterall. Neon Genesis Evangelion was probably the worst anime to try and get everyone to watch, but even if an amazing, well known series is chosen, I don't think it would work so well. People watch anime at different paces, and theres no guarantee that everyone would stick with it.

It's probably a bad idea to try and have everyone watch a series, but a movie might work.

It would be good if its a series none of us have seen we can always watch something someone has seen. you can always take a break lol. and then again some series are enjoyable so watching them a second time wouldnt hurt.

i havent seen code geass or trigun but since some people have watched them recently thats something we can watch down the line.

Compared to Death Note, it's an extremely poor series. Why do people say it's better? I even skipped to one of the last episodes to see if it didn't eventually get interesting, but still no improvement. Consider that **** dropped!

I want to watch either Mushishi or Baccano! Or Kara no Kyoukai because I'm currently torrenting it. Well, I have been while I've been asleep for the past four hours. It's at 70%. Basically, it's a series of seven anime movies, but currently only three have been released. It's got really high ratings on all the anime sites, and the action looks pretty decent. There also seems to be a ton of violence and gore, so Josh will be happy.

If you take the length of the three movies released so far, and divide it by 25 minutes, which is the length of a normal anime episode, it comes to about 6 and a half episodes. The movies are only around an hour long I think. Nothing big, but long enough to enjoy. You could think of it as a mini-mini series.

The music also sounds very good, well it does in the trailer I watched anyway.

By the way, Baccano also has a 3 episode OVA that should probably be watched after the actual series.

You can download each episode from animea.net here (http://www.animea.net/download/1045/Baccano.html), but it keeps redirecting me to the homepage... and you can't download them all at once. That seems to be the only way to watch it in decent enough quality though.

Finished download Kara no Kyoukai. Quality is decent, the music is very good, the action scenes look quite well done. Frames skip every now and then during slow scenes though and make it very joggy, which is ******* annoying! Same thing happened when I downloaded the Death Note special, but that skipped so often it made it unwatchable. Dunno how often this one skips, I don't dare look. Don't know if it's my computer or the file either. Just seems to happen with MKV files. ****!

The first Kara no Kyoukai movie was pretty average. If it wasn't for the spectacular fight in the middle, I would have said it was very boring. No introduction, its like you're thrown into the middle of the story, and overall it feels like it's already been done before. Which is mainly the case in action anime these days. The only gore in the movie is when a few girls commit suicide. Them parts are very gory, but apart from that, there is none. So you may be disappoint Josh. :P Average movie, far from amazing, but not entirely crap. I'm hoping the other two will be better.
