Your parents will either carry a left handed gene or a right handed gene. Right however is the dominant gene, whereas left is the recessive gene. If both your parents are left handed, good chance you will be too. If just one of your parents are left handed, almost 100% chance you will be right handed, as that is the dominant gene. If both are right handed, you will be too.

maybe from your grandparents? my mum and dad and their mum and dad are all right handed (just asked :P) so no idea where mine came from, also;
