They've finally cracked it, many people been waiting for this, for months and months.

Won't personally need to use it until my contracts is up on mine though.

I don't understand why it says New years eve in the title of the thread?

Anyway, awesome... now let's hope they are getting somewhere with the iPod Touch 2G

The target release date for the unlock is New Year’s Eve 2008.

I think its if you upgraded from 2.0 to anything your screwed because the baseband has to be the same, and when 2.0 went to 2.1 it upgraded the baseband, not too sure if thats correct but i think its the correct version.

It was 2.2 update not 2.0

Well I ordered my iPhone 3G two days ago, if it is the latest baseband it really wouldn't bother me, if it's old firmware and baseband, then that's a bonus really. Not bothered really though.
