Right, for Christmas from my rich aunt and uncle - the degree of said richness will be revealed - got me a shoulder bag from Louis Vitton. It's not fake, it's a genuine Louis Vitton bag but I didn't ask for it. So basically I might use it but it's not really my style so I googled it. Turns out right, it's worth... £670. I have the recipt and everything for it, so do you think I should just send it back? Because that is a ****load of money and I really need money. For the record I'm not spoilt, I'm just related to them.

I dont think you should return the bag. I would absoultely hate it if I had paid that for someone regardless of how much I have in the bank and they returned it for the money, they obviously thought you would like the bag if they didnt you would probally have got something else or the money so I do not think you should sell it.
If you really do want to sell it then you should ask them, say something like its too expensive and you wouldnt know when to use it and wouldnt want to ruin it, is it ok to return it to get some more things which are less expensive so I feel more comfortable carrying them around. They might say yes then which I think would be better and they wouldnt mind as much.

Return it, lol.
Make sure you do in the 28 days (depending if the return date has been extended or not, see back of receipt. But go for it. (:

My aunt and uncle have more money than sense - of the bags available in the catagory mine's in, the one they got me is the most expensive so it looks like that was they only reason it was picked, its such a joke. Looking at the bag people who know me know it's not something I would wear so I have no qualms about getting the money. Anyway turns out it's just a gift reciept so all I can get is an exchange which is total bull because I could get so much for £700, it's pissed me off. Anyway I'm considering eBaying it because I really don't want some bag that's worth that amount of money. Even the stuff on their website doesn't appeal to me and the stuff that does is in no way worth what I could get for it off eBay. Even so, tomorrow I'm gonna phone them up and try to weasel my way into getting a refund. Sometimes gift receipts are just so that they don't show the price so I might get off with that but there's also the issue thatyou can't get a refund after 7 days of purchase and it says it was purchased on the 2nd of December. The only way I can even think of getting around that is by saying that the gift was only given 2 days ago (which is true) and then say that the same options apply - that it is an unwanted gift and so I deserve a refund. It's a ******* ridiculous amount to spend on a bag, I can go on holiday with that money.

LV bag is a top-notch quality but the design is lame tbh.U cud sell it on ebay but Im unsure if u cud sell it for the wot it realli worth.Plus, there's too many fake LV's on ebay so be hard for you to sell it.
Btw,nice to get a LV bag for gift and yes it is ridiculous to spend tht amount on a bag but hey when u got tons of money nothing is too pricey yeh.Neways,gl :)

I found the same bag (a real one) on eBay with one bid for £200, even that's better than the bag imo.

Phoned them up. They wont allow any change in the pollicy so I can't get a full refund which was kind of expected. HOWEVER, I have managed to get in touch with a guy via my mums partner, who's willing to BUY vouchers for Louis Vuitton off of me if I exchange the bag for vouchers in the store in Edinburgh. Since he's doing this I'm obviously not asking for the full amount, but we agreed on a value of £500. So I'll exchange the bag in Edinburgh for vouchers, sell the vouchers to him for cash so he can give them as a gift to his wife, then I have £500 for spending :D

Haha. Attracting the attention of Chav Girls is another thing to add to the list of reasons why to rid myself of the bag!

It was mearly an issue of 'could I actually get the money out of it', not a moral qualm. ;)

That's the thing though, even if I did wear it the majority would think it was fake and I'd look stupid. So it's £500 or look stupid.

i think thats well harsh returning a present from a relative just for the cash. they blates thought about u by buying the most expensive one, so for u to like sell it is a slap in the face, regardless whether they r rich cuz its the thought behind the present, not the price.
u dnt av to wear it all the time anyway cuz u cud always just wear it on special occasions.

There was no thought behind the present. Anyone knowing me would see that it's totally not my thing. Not to mention they bought the same bag for two other people in the family, as well as 3 more bags for 3 girls in the family. So in total the cost must've been in the region of $4100. They won't know I returned it just as they won't know I'm not enjoying it so there's no harm done. I think anyone would be happier with £670 rather than a ***** bag.
