Quite possibly the best draw I've ever seen.

The good teams draw the good teams, the not so good team draw the not so good teams. Brilliant.

Chelsea and Arsenal got off lightly. Liverpool and Man United's games are certainly ones to watch.

Is it me or do Real Madrid rarely play English teams in the CL?

I can see Liverpool pulling off a win against Real Madrid as they have a new manager and lost in the derby against Barcelona, so their morale may be very low, plus the fact Real Madrid's stadium is a lucky one for Liverpool, won two European Cups their out of their five in total. I fancy Manchester United to get a solid draw and maybe sneak a win away at Milan, then go for the win at Old Trafford. No problems here for Chelsea and Arsenal though, expect those to stroll through to the quarters.

At the end of the day if you want to win you're going to have to play a big team at some point. Strangely I think Chelsea and Arsenal will be knocked out at this stage with United and Liverpool going through. I think United are the best team in Europe with Barcalona and Liverpool are always awesome in Europe. I think Ranieri (sp) will want to knock out Chelsea and that he'll do and Arsenal don't even deserve to be in Europe. Roma will want to get to the final seeing as they're hosting it.

The fact they have a new manager will make Real stronger. Becuase everyone wants a first team place hence they will be trying to impress him. I think real will win.

here's my in depth summary on the games

Arsenal v Roma - I don't see this big thing of people rating Roma. They're not a very good team and Arsenal could really demolish them. The Stadio Olimpico isn't a difficult place to go to and Arsenal really should win.

Chelsea v Juventus - Chelsea are in for a tough one here. Juventus have a very good side and are good in Europe. They have Claudio Ranieri at the reign and he will want to be getting back. Del Piero may be ageing but he still knows where that net is. I think Juve will win.

Inter Milan v Manchester United - If you gave me this tie last season, I would have said a comfortable Utd victory. This season however, is a different. Mourinho knows how to do well in Europe and he knows how to beat Man Utd. They struggled in their group and aren't really renowned for their strength in Europe. The San Siro is a rather easy place to go and most English teams win there. I don't doubt Inter under Mourinho but after the performances in the group stages it has to be a Utd victory. Good teams are teams that can play badly in the group and win where it counts, let's see if Inter can do that.

Real Madrid v Liverpool - Real Madrid aren't the same team who they used to be. They're getting a tough time in La Liga and aren't really doing too well. Their strength can't be under-estimated and if taken too lightly, could win. The Bernabeu is another ground which isn't very difficult to go too. Liverpool are great in Europe but need to take caution. Expect this one to be settled at Anfield.

As for the others:
Villareal v Panathanaikos - Two great teams at home. Hard to say which way it will go after the Greeks finished top of their group ahead of Inter. I think I'll go with a Villareal win.

Sporting v Bayern Munich - Only one way this is going and that's the way of the Germans. Could come unstuck if they continue to slip up at home.

Lyon v Barcelona - Gerland is a very difficult place to go and get a result. Barcelona are running away with La Liga and Lyon are going to yet again, win Ligue 1. Very difficult one to call. Two great teams but I'll go with a Lyon victory.

Atletico v Porto - Porto are prone to the odd slip up at home. The Calderon is a hard place to go and get a result. Porto will be looking for a draw in the first leg, hoping to seal victory in the second but it could prove to a vital mistake. Atletico win.

Inter vs. Man Utd

It's a game in the making, but this is a game I feel that won't live up to it's expectations.

I Inter are beatable and probably be the equivalent a 4th placed premier league side. The only reason the game is so high profile is because of Mourinho's return to England, and that's all there will be to it. As for Roma, if Spurs can beat them 5-0 with Ramos in charge then Arsenal should have no difficulties.
