Is it still un-rippable? I remember when I was in year 6 our teacher brang some in, it has this material and you can't tear it or anything, it's pretty good. :P
you can't tear it.
you can't burn it.
and with the economy over here, you can barley do anything it.
(well in atleast my town)
i'm pretty sure you can use some kinda special knife to cut it though.

polymer notes??
Not fully sure. They're made to last for years.
Teachers use to make bets with kids, the teacher would "borrow" some kids money, and they made a deal if she could set it on fire and not damage it, she could have it.
it was all for jokes though.

They are waterproof, can't tear them and they are super bendy :8! And they can't be forged!
Video on how they are made: http://au.youtube.com/watch?v=YTggA4jVPj0

When my godmother gave me 100 AU dollars, i tried to tear it cos her husband told me to.
It was quite impossible, i didn't want to put all my strength, but i was surprised.
That video teaches me alot!
Thanks Sam!

I tried proper hard to rip it them many years ago, it can't even tear or anything, they should make all money like that, because I always end up with used notes that have little tears or anything, it's only money but I like the presentation to look nice. :(

Hmm, I thought I saw my mother with a $50 polymer note. I guess I was wrong :P There's also the rare $20 polymer note to commemorate 40 years of currency agreement with Brunei.
Cool though, I didn't know polymer notes came from Australia. I never tried tearing one because I wouldn't dare to :P The Australian and Singapore dollar is not that different.
1 Singapore Dollar = 1.00680 Australian Dollar

We also have the useful feature of each note denomination being a different colour!
and when i was in oz i left $20 in my pocket while my jeans were getting washed and the notes came out good.
I've got such a good topic going then they ban me for an unacceptable name even though it's one of my old Habbo names, what an outrage :(
