As some of you already know, hehe, santa is bringing me a lovely 8gb 3g iphone this Christmas. :)

I'm gonna get it all jailbroken and all on christmas day.

SO, then what?! :P Haha.

What good feats. can I get into and that? Any general good tips/ideas/tricks for me to use? Thanks :)

(Also, someone mentioned there is an ap that lets you send mms? true or false? lol)

There are so many threads like this lol.

If I were you I'd head over to http://forums.macrumors.com/ and post int he iPhone section. They have a lot more expertise there (to do with jailbreaking) than the average HabboxForum users (with the exception of a few users).

Well, theres an unlock for the 3g coming on NYE, when you jailbreak you can add the repo 'http://cydia.hackulo.us' and install a program called installous, and that can get cracked apps from the app Store for free. You can get games and lots of things. You may need to downgrade the iphones firmware to unlock though if it comes on 2.2

I had mine two days ago because i'm going on holiday tomorrow and I needed to activate it etc. My previous phone was an N95, and I can honestly say it simple K.O's the N95.

The iPhone 3G is a beast of a machine. I've installed tonnes of apps, pictures, and used up all of my 16GB memory. Was going to unlock and wait for new years eve, but thought what's the point? i'm on contract and i'll stay with o2 anyway, so I updated my firmware and baseband. There'll be an unlock for that soon anyway.

Hope you enjoy your phone, you'll be very impressed, as said above, install the MMS app, install installous, and you're all sorted.

Just some fun information for those ppl that isn’t going to Jailbreak the phone… MMS will most likely be released by Mobispine (http://www2.mobispine.com/dotAsset/4567.pdf) and you will be able to download it to the most operators all over the world (accordingly to Swedish iPhone fans)

Yeah, NYE is the time the Dev Team are going to release the unlock for the 3g.
installous, it lists the apps that various people have bought from the app store and cracked, giving you links to download the .IPA file, which is just like a iphone/touch Zip File, which then has the .APP for the actual app, so you download them, go on the 'Downloaded' tab and install them.

Dont install them straight from the site instead of downloading, it doesnt work.

Add the source 'Http://Cydia.hackulo.us'

It makes me so bad when I see people cracking iPod apps, the developers work really hard and some of them do it as a living. When it's stuff like Monkey ball it's OK because it's made by a big company but when it's smaller independent developers who makes the apps it's just tight :/ This is the same way I feel about music by the way too lol.

I doubt people try to make a living off making Apps, if anything it's more of a 'spare time hobby' type of thing that they can make cash from.

Actually people do, have a look at ngmoco (http://blog.ngmoco.com/) they are a small studio who ONLY make apps for the iPhone/iPod touch.

Yes it is, if you read again. They only develop apps for the iPhone and iPod Touch. They quit jobs with other game studios, you don't seem to realise how much money can be made from selling apps on the app store.

Think about it logically? How many people like to game on their iphone/touches.... loads, thousands and say they got £4 a game (after apples take) and sold 50,000 copies ....... thats £200000. I know that might be an over-exaggeration but they have more than 1 game selling plus many more to come.

`with the horrible iphone earphones you will see a button mic thing. press the button two times to skip to next song and button one time to pause/play.
good for saving battery life.
`Home button + sleep button = iphone screenshot
`when using safari tap and hold the image you want to save to get it.
`home button + sleep button for more than 10 seconds = iphone restart

No one likes a big head. Great for you anyway, them tips have been known by pretty much everyone since the iPhone was around.

What you gonna tell us now, the sleep button sleeps it? :O
