Hey Guys!
Well I was just sitting thinking about the Christmas Chart, and how it’s going at the moment, I’m listening to HIT40UK. Anyway I wanted to voice my opinion and I couldn’t find a post about this very important date in the English music industries calendar. (If there is then I’m very sorry for thread stealing: P)
So go ahead and voice your opinion on who should be number 1 and why!
Here’s my opinion:
I think Geraldine McQueen should be number 1, as i like the song and it’s really catchy. But I wouldn’t be too fussed if I didn’t as long as the Xfactor winner doesn’t win. I don't think its very fair how it wins all the time, the Xfactor show it basically one massive advertising campaign. It runs for roughly 15 weeks or something and it’s on for like 2 hours a week, and it’s repeated several times. So in theory the Xfactor brand is being advertised a hell of allot, where an artist who has just recorded a track and maybe has a few ad's around the net and in the paper has a huge disadvantage on Xfactor, all I can say is when Simon Cowell signed up to give the winner a record contract I bet he thought that he’d died and gone to heaven.
Anyway your turn!
