New upload site [Archive]

Well right now I'm in the process of developing a new upload site/platform.

No, I'm not shutting TehUpload down.. (yet [all images and links will be merged into the new platform if this goes on]).

I need two things, if you can help out on one of these, please read on:

Security Testing
Naming

Security Testing

I need a few experienced coders, that know their stuff, to test the security on it, and help me out a bit.

The requirements for helping may include skills in:

SQL Injection
XSS
XSRF
File Upload Vulnerability

Naming

I need help on a name! We'll be supporting not only images, but smaller files such as (txt, zip, rar, psd, swf, etc).

If you could help, please post a name below.. only serious entries please.

Well i have been doing PHP for about 3/4 years now. Have SQL injected sites before. Have done Cross Site Scripting once or twice. Have never tried Cross-site request forgery, but I understand the theory of it and how to attempt it. Obviously File Upload Vulnerability is obvious and I can try that.

Yup, I would like to know aswell Ryan :D

Just because you know what type of exploits there are, doesn't mean you're a security expert. If someone with zero knowledge on security really wanted to, they could go and look up definitions and a few examples, but to spot an advanced exploit, you're going to need to be clued up, not just doing it "once or twice".

Okay Ryan i appreciate that. I don't claim to be a security expert either :P

And I am clued up really. I understand how it all works and how to do it all etc.

I have only done it once or twice because I used to think i was L33T. I was talking about doing it to actual websites, not practising it.

On tehupload there was a link in the source to an above directory which I guess was a blog site with wordpress (something like dentifrice.com). Anyway I did the installation to see if it would work (it did). Just it may be a good idea not to do that this time as there may have been some security exploit that I could have used to hack tehupload. (I am not good at hacking though tbh). Not really sure why I was looking at the source anyway :P.

Neither one of those extensions can be registered.

I tried .ad, don't have a trademark or tradename registered in that country.. no hope for that.
