Love-rat cabbie Steve (Simon Gregson) is desperate to spend some time with gobby Roy's Rolls worker Becky Grainger (Katherine Kelly), who he is having an affair with.
THIS could be the end of Jed Stone as killer Tony Gordon throttles him with a negligee on Corrie this Christmas.
The oldie blackmailed Tony after finding out he murdered his wife Carla’s lover, Liam Connor.
Tipsy Jed (Kenneth Cope) turns up at the factory before Underworld’s Christmas party — and demands £10,000 more for his silence.
But Tony (Gray O’Brien) snaps and grabs the nightie he bought Carla for Christmas.
Afterwards, he panics when he realises Carla and the staff are heading to the factory — and crams Jed’s lifeless body inside a hamper.
Liam’s pregnant widow Maria (Samia Smith) — who had a miscarriage in the soap — also fears for her life after thumping Tony.
He warns: “There’s plenty of space next to your husband and baby in that graveyard. You might have a family Christmas yet.”
Other soaps are also gloomy this Crimbo.
In EastEnders, Sean Slater kidnaps the baby he discovers is not his, while on Emmerdale Shane Doyle’s corpse is found in a lake.
