A macbook is a notebook(Laptop) that is made by apple. Apples computers are called macs so thats were it gets its name the macbook.
They are currently in the White and also in the aluminum. There is also a more powerful version of the macbook with a bigger screen ect called the macbook pro.

A MacBook is a 'laptop' from Apple that usually use a different OS.
Mostly more expensive, but more reliable.

Its what I am using to reply to this thread! lol
Its a laptop made by Apple and its heavy :( Although it is a really nice laptop with a nice screen, if you do get one - you should enjoy it unless you don't like the switch to Mac OS X but I thought it was quite an easy switch.

I don't get it :S I looked at the specs for the Macbook and you can get a laptop with those specs for about £400-500, but apple are charging £900.

To be fair, yes you are paying for the quality (well most of the time, my macbook has decided to start cracking) but you are also paying for the Apple name and the OS :)

Yes, but you are paying for that name of "Mac OS X" and the foreseen quality of the OS that everyone rambles on about.
