Okay seen as a projector isnt the best of ideas is there any chance i can get a new HD 40" for £340-350?

Woulnt Bush and people like that do them cheaper than that?
Dunno maybe amazon might? or play.com most stuff is second hand+ And still in good working shape so you might get a good deal.

They arnt exactly budget price at average of £140
The one im getting is £70 if you buy a £800 Tv :)
