I don't know, the versions were better. They should have just left it the way it was.

Plain and simple hotel with plain and simple furniture and no one was really that greedy.

I remember going on and seeing somebody has a totally new badge which no one had ever seen before, and it meant something to get a new badge.

Nowadays, you get one for changing your motto.

People, Staff (On SG), and that's all really.

I also liked the fact that Habbo was plain.

There were people a lot more people I knew around that time, now I know a lot, but not as much as 2 years ago. It was simple (as someone said), no their are like millions of different types of furni and it's hard to recognize all of them. There is like, Tiki, Artic etc... There wasn't much hacking/scripting around that time, but there was some minors, but now like every noob got the programs and 'use' and 'abuse' it and it gets very annoying aswell, as it leads to lag, hotel maintenance etc...*cough Grant, LeetKiss *cough. Oh yeah, and the battle ball was better, more people playing it, and it was full every afternoon. So that was fun, and the battle ball challenges.

People cared about eachother, the community was small and nearly everyone knew eachother. Furni wasn't a great deal

Back then I could load the client without it killing my computer.

I liked the style, the new habbo style is horrible to me. I like how you could just log on at the loader and not have to go to the homepage etc.
I would have still liked habbo if they kept it at v9 etc and maybe just added the 'my page'. That would do me fine, I loved it how habbo wasn't protected much and people could total go on a rave and script furniture and have alt code usernames.
& I liked it how you didn't have to go off the hotel to change clothes.

& I liked it how it didn't lag.

Everything was just so much better.

There used to be so many more competitions, that lots of people won.

It actually meant something to people when they won a badge - noone cares anymore.

Staff were soo much better. Everyone loved Callie, Jibbi & HelKat and they interacted much more and talked to everyone.

As Habbo was younger then, not as many people were gold hc, so it was a real acheivement to get gold HC or to be on your next month of HC
Collecting furni, making rooms felt more fun and exciting.

Everyone liked each other. There was no jealousy and people actually congratulated people on winning.

No arguments.

Casinos. - Less of them, but really rich ones. SOOOO many more people betted large amounts and did it continuously and it was so much more fun with betting. Betting it what kept me in Habbo because being a dealer or a better so so much as it kept you entertained for hours as people kept betting and having fun while doing it. Casino's were amazing back then. Owners were real nice aswell.
There was only a few rich people, so people felt they werent the only poor ones and just hung out with the rich people in their casinos getting along, betting and trying to earn more furni - which was what Habbo was about. (Earning more furni)
etc etc etc. Was goooddddd.

MODs were nice and had convos with you over the CFH.

There weren't noobs, literally, everyone knew the game and had an idea about what to do
there weren't 65637535893 beggers asking for furni in every room.

When you called your room and giveaway when it was actually a casino or wotever, people who came in stayed and found it funny, but now ppl jus go FURNI PLZ and when u dnt give them it, they leave.. it was better before.

When you invited to your room, tonnness of people came and stayed while your room got full and everyone spoke, bet, everything. You could leave the room irl and on Habbo and your room would still stay popular, unlike now.

And the console was soooo much better.

Small community aswell which meant all Habbo's got involved with each other so things were nicer and rooms were fuller, as said above.
There was barely any norm furni, which was good, or rare furni so it meant furni didn't mean too much, and to earn it from bets/trading etc was a really good thing.

Everything was just better lol.

I still like the old console. I never actually used the new mailing system.

And back then, I actually had good friends to talk to. Slowly they all left, one by one, and now I hardly talk to anyone. I don't know, I think I was more interactive in the past. Now it feels strange saying hi to someone you don't know over the internet :P

Doing everything on clientside. Also I weren't here in 01&02 but the SMS console seems kinda amazing. I hear it was removed due to scripters could get peoples mobile numbers without their consent. But I'm sure Sulake could have put a bit more attention towards patching that script rather than removing it.

For the new console, never use the minimail system it's PHP and thats boring, slow and harder to use for me. Why go to webpages instead of client? I don't understand.

SMS Console rocked !!

I liked how I was learning how to deal in casinos, making good friends & accepting everyone's attitude towards others.
