Woolworths 50% off

Yeh wanted to go up to game this morning but most of the shops were shut, looked across the road and saw Woolies with massive 50% off posters all of the window, quickly ran in and looked at the games and picked up Saints Row 2 for 18.99 and Too Human for 19.99 :D
Just letting you know, you should go quick because my store was packed and 3/4 empty already

They can't discount games that much unfortunately as the gaming industry works different to other products. Woolworths don't 'own' the games they sell (and this goes for everywhere else too), a distributor owns the games and any Woolworths can't sell are sent back to the distributor, Woolworths just gets a large proportion for selling games but they can't discount them that much as they don't own them, that also goes for Zavvi etc.

I went in and it's just Mirror's Edge for all platforms for about £35 :S

You can get Too Human etc from eBuyer for £10 at the moment :)

Loads of places are feeling the crunch now, its quite amazing that a shop such as Woolies that's been here for as long as I can remember and my mum and dad can remember is closing.

When I went in today, the shop was damn-near empty with just crappy stuff that nobody wanted and all the posters etc getting taken down :(

However Zavvi owed Woolworths £100 million which would of kept Woolworths alive, but they don't have the money and now Zavvi has ended up in Administration but they're not closing yet, they've still got a good few months left in them if they're not bought out and rescued.
